The Chateau de Polignac is to be found near the town of Le Puy in the Ardeche region of France. The chateau is perched on a large granite base, providing excellent views over the countryside, or, in our case, an excellent view of the approaching thunder-storm which was on top of us within minutes. The battlements of the chateau are just visible.
