Autumn colours are always a temptation for any photographer, and in this instance I picked a misty morning to try and capture the softer moods of the season. Bruce's Hill is not named on the Ordnance map of the Galashiels area, and, whether or not the name relates to Robert the Bruce, is something I have never discovered. And there is a statue to William Wallace just five miles away ... coincidence?
