The name Les Drus refers to the peak on the right, which is actually two peaks with the smaller (Le Petit Dru) in front, hiding its neighbour. The snow-capped peak on the left is the Aiguille Verte, an imaginative name as it means 'Green Needle'.  The Drus are part of the famous 'aiguilles' of Chamonix Mont-Blanc in the French Alps.
