Image no. MT14 The Torridon hills of NW Scotland are rugged, steep-sided, bleak - and absolutely magnificent. This is wild country, splattered with small lochs among the craggy peaks. This hill is Ben Eighe (pronounced "ay" as in 'aystacks) which offers a marvellous ridge walk along its undulating rocky crest. The loch in the picture is nestling in a corrie, carved out by a hanging glacier during the ice-age. |
