This shot was taken as part of a sequence about kittiwake gulls, seen through the eyes of a new-born chick, and titled "Birds eye view". The location was the cliffs of St. Abb's Head, on the SE coast of Scotland, and several visits were necessary to get pictures of not only kittiwakes, but puffins, guillemots, herring gulls, and even seals. This shot was taken with a 135mm lens.
