- When the routemap
area has been selected, it is placed into the Edit screen as shown
below.
- Colours are
selected from the palette at bottom right, or
from the map by right clicking.
- The dotted
route is drawn in the current colour by clicking along the map.
- The colour
of the route line can be changed within its length (eg: when going
from path to hillside).
- Arrows can
be added to the route, or alongside it.
- The names
of hills climbed can be added by simply clicking on the name in
"Today's Hills", and then placing the text on the map.
- Other text
is added by typing a line of text (eg: town name) and placing in
the same way.
- Symbols representing
campsites, bothies, or "X" marks the spot can be added
in selected colour.
- Dotted lines
or continuous lines can be added as required.
- Free-hand
painting in three brush sizes can also be carried out.
- The Undo button
will remove the last addition to the map.
- When the routemap
is completed and stored, estimated data concerning distance, heights,
and time are generated.
- When relevant
Log is selected, the routemap appears automatically as part of the
log. (See Log options).
